Hello Cosmos have released ‘Skin’, the fifth and final track to be lifted from their current EP, Keep Digging. The piece is instantly propelled forward by the insistence of the drum kit and thunderously straight bass line, juxtaposed by the unpredictable chaos of droning electric guitars. The poetic punkiness of Ben Robinson’s vocal delivery above the accompanying chaos is reminiscent of Sleaford Mods and Idles. The band explain that the track is “a Halloween track as we happened to be in the studio at Blueprint in Manchester on that date. Adrian had the riff with the odd guitar sound that’s become a feature of the tune, so we worked it out from that. I went spooky on the vocal and found some new ground in terms of style.
